- New laying of all telecommunication cables, fibre optic cables, as well as copper cables incl. all planning services. The cable along the line, which was provisionally laid into the building plot, had to be continuously adapted during the construction progress together with its provisional cable conduit.
- 20 km copper cable and 45 km fibre optic cable were processed.

- Due to the narrow conditions (river Mosel, support wall, vineyards) the works could only be carried out during short shutdowns overnight and over the week-end, as well as during road and track shutdowns.
- Cable ducts and cable ducts made of glass fibre reinforced plastic were laid, pipes were installed in platforms, road and track crossings, road crossings were constructed, 53 km fibre optic cable laid, steel pipe crossings in the area of the track were constructed, cable jointing manholes were installed in the area of the track.

- Approximately 19 km of concrete cable channel, new construction in short shutdown periods or during regular railway operations. Installation of approx. 60 km fiber-optic cables including assembly services. Work independent from track activity only partially possible. Multiple cable installation on bridges and in tunnels due to topographical conditions.
