This technology is systematically developed and optimized by our own R & D team. Sleepers and tracks are replaced with an automatic conveyor line process. Our quick track renewal trains are fitted with various features to enable the replacement of a wide range of sleepers: from concrete sleepers to timber, steel and Y sleepers to wide sleepers. State-of-the-art technology is deployed to document the condition of the tracks.
Tight radii are no problem for our fast track renewal trains, with a scheduled hourly rate of up to 400 m/h, they can significantly reduce Construction periods.
The Trimble pre-measuring system consists of two track dynamometer wagons GEDO CE 2.0, one control unit and one Leica tachymeter. It has been optimised for pre-measuring with high capacity. The evaluation of the measuring data and the planned-actual comparison can also be carried out directly on site. Thanks to measurements using fixed reference points the absolute track position is detected. The inner track position is based on the traditional aligning method and guarantees high precision. These measuring systems are especially suitable for the use during short shutdown intervals.
Amberg pre-measuring systems are used for the measuring of existing tracks and infrastructure. The inner geometry of the track is recorded by means of an inertial measuring system. A GNSS-based measuring system enables a recording of the absolute track position even in case of lacking, incomplete or unknown track marking. These devices stand out thanks to their very high measuring capacity. These systems are best used on tracks during a shutdown.
Conveyor line technology is used to remove the tracks and sleepers, the ballast bed is then cleared, the new sleepers fitted and the new tracks connected. A fast supply of material is ensured using two separately moving gantry cranes (transport capacity of 30 sleepers). And while the front section of the renewal train is running along the old track, the rear is already moving along the new track. The optimized use of state-of-the-art technology can deliver performance rates of up to 2,800 m per shift.
